She was born in 1957 in Seoul, She studied Composition at Yon-Sei University and the Graduate School and Stutgart hochschule, Germany. And She was a research worker in Gent University, Belgium. She has been a professor of the Department of Composition, Sook Myoung Women's University since 1991.

She has been a leader of the Modern Vocal Music Ensemble named ‘S, Vocalisimo' since 1993 and the group named ‘Provisorium'. Through those activities, she teaches extemporary performance and conducts music and doing some practical and academical works. So Many Places- in Korea, Germany, France, Switzerland, England, Sweden, Poland and Belgium choose her work and ask performance to her.
