Hongseok
Rhie graduated from the College of Music, Yonsei
University and the National College of Music Detmold
in Germany. Among he was won are the Prize at
the Dong-A Music Competition in 1987, Yonsei Culture-Prize
in 1988, and the Ahn-iktea Composition-Prize in
1999.
His works have been performed at the new artists
concert's sponsored by the Cho-sun daily newspaper,
the Seoul Music Festival, Geothe-Institute and
21 century Music Composer's Society and Asian
Composers' League. At present he is teaching at
Changsin Theological Seminary University.
